What a nightmare
What a nightmare. Never dealing with any type of card like this as, a favor to a friend I needed to send money to I bought a moneypak card at Walgreens at his suggestion.
Not understanding how it works I gave the girl $90 plus 5.95 finally found out how to register the card, jumped through hoops give them my social security number plus
Every time I scan the card for its number I get a completely different number I've scanned it six times six separate numbers come up. So which number is it? Don't even try to call don't try to go on the website it's a waste of time. I will never get these three hours back in my entire life. ( 2 days trying) I'm so angry I could scream. There's $90 floating somewhere on a temporary card. At least the manager from Walgreens told me some info but there's no way to reach anybody. When you do you get cut off. The form to fill out? Your only allotted so many characters so you can't even describe your issue because you don't have enough space to do so. Then when I finally edited everything down and I hit send what do you think happened??? error 404. Can you hear my frustration can you see the smoke coming from my eyes and ears? Never ever ever use this card ever. I have no idea what I'm going to do there's $90 missing somewhere right now I told my friend he's responsible for it because I've had it but please don't go there and get anything related to Green Dot MoneyPak it's a scam and absolute scam. After a few hours I thought let me try again. To my surprise I found another form to fill out that was so easy I thought is this is possible? I can actually email someone ya NO. Because every time I hit submit it kept telling me that my email address was wrong, can you even believe it? I have 3 email addresses with my name attached all of them but they're wrong. Unbelievable.

They blow bought a gift card scratch the numbers off the back numbers came off the back of it try to connect customer service over and over and over they've hung up on me call back they don't know anything talk to the supervisor they don't know what's going on email them the back of the card the receipt the purchase reference code meanwhile at the end of the day they suck I lost out of money and I suggest you never use them I've gone to the stores that I bought them from and try to get them to pull them Stay Away

Do not buy this product. I purchased this product for a value of $300.00, the card had a defect and could not be used at all. I proceeded to call the company 8 different times, spent a total of 15 hours on the phone with them, and no refund. They are fraudulent in their practice, snd i reported them to the US ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE.

This corporation is the most shady Bank services company in the entire United States. Customer service is a joke and it is absolutely impossible to get any live person on the phone. The 1-800 number get you an automated service where you are given a list of frequently asked questions but you never get to talk to a person. Customer service is all done through email and although they tell you they will contact you within 24 hours it took them 72 hours to contact me about $500 that I could not afford to be tied up. I have never seen a more incompetent organization. This Bank owes its entire existence to the poor working class in this country and they can't even afford somebody to man the phones.

I had a very bad experience with this company. Scammers used a Green Dot card as part of their scam, and repeated calls to Green Dot to remedy the situation were unhelpful. I lost over $200.This company is very dishonest and cares nothing about its customers. Service was absolutely the worst that I have experienced in years.

This company steals your money. Don't buy there cards first thing about this card is they have you sign up for an account once that is done. When you go to use the card and it after the first of the month you just lost $7.95 of the balance so there is the first way they steal your money the second way is that if you don't call them and delete the account they may you sign up for you will have to pay that $7.95 every month until you delete that account so this makes the second way they steal money from you

I purchased a money pak card on 10/09/21 and will not ever do so again. The website if you can call it that was not working properly and or it was hacked and didn't allow me to input the card number so I can upload the funds to a prepaid card. Instead, I call the automated number which was no help. I then went to the website to get in touch with a live person the number I called redirected me to another answering service after a few seconds a man gets on stating the website was undergoing system maintenance and that the funds could be input manually from his end. Little did I know it was a scam and no one from this company has helped at all. Who is legally responsible for Money pak? because it looks to be under the green dot corporation. This is very unfortunate that a company of this magnitude doesn't have a better system in place to protect their buyers and business reputation.

I was recently scammed but caught on before giving the money paks to the scammers. Money pak reloaded online $1000 back into my account. It will not give me the other $1000. Keeps changing reasons. Have tried different accounts etc. Like everyone else I figure this money is gone. Obviously if scammers are using this they have a different agreement with green dot to get their funds quickly and it probably involves a kickback. i can't believe they are still in business and law enforcement is willing to investigate them. But don't let your dog off leash, they'll get you then. Priorties for public safety.

I'm disabled and they stoled my money. Purchased a greendot moneypack for 195.00 plus the 5.95 fee from cvs on June 8th at 9:40am from cvs when I got home they it was defective and all the numbers in back of card didn't scratch off on there moneypack website which I have had for years request on these issues you send them a copy of receipt plus front and back of defective card. Did that all I had from the cvs was the greendot portion of the receipt which they messaged about a week later that the receipt is not sufficient.so went to cvs to get a duplicate which they only carry in there system at local store for 5 days. Contacted cvs corporate which emailed me a copy of the corporate receipt which they claim is not good enough. So on July 27 had cvs contact them direct in email it's now august 9th and they don't even contact cvs this is brutal that there allowed to scam the public they should be shut down for fraud and stealing consumers money because that's exactly what was done I'm disabled and that's money that I should have to purchase medicine but no a billionaire company has committed fraud and think it's free money for them

I bought a $500.00 card 5 years ago. I found the card number was invalid recently. I called customer services twice. They just told me the card was invalid. When I asked them to explain why it was invalid, both of them hung me up. So the Green Dot Corporation stole $500.00 from me. This is a crime.
Should never trust this company.

This is the WORST company I've ever experienced in. my life!! I was scammed out of $500, I submitted a fraud claim and they emailed me back saying I was approved for a full refund. Yet... they have NO personal information of mine to provide my refund. I tried calling customer service but its all automated and it continuously got me NOWHERE!! GreenDot MoneyPak is a scam!!! On top of Scammers using this company to actually scam OTHER people. It's truly sickening. Why is it so impossible to talk with a customer service representative to resolve my fraud claim and to actually receive my refund?!! it's so frustrating and unprofessional.

I have been trying for 4 months to get my refund from this company and I have to say this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with by far like 100 times worse then the next worst company.. In fact there is no comparison. I purchased 3 500 money paks back in March of 2021 because I had lost my debit card and it has proven to be one of the worst mistakes of my life. I wish I was exaggerating. After I purchased the money pacs I went to load them onto a prepaid debit card so I could pay my rent and other bills. I put my intire pay check on them but they couldn't verify my identity because of my phone number. I have a line through metro pcs and was told I needed to request a refund which I did online. I uploaded the receipts, copies of the money pacs I bought along with my state issued driver's license. After waiting 4 weeks I finally got one of the 3 500 refunds the next I received a bad letter asking that I never purchase a money pac again or use thier company because they thought I was using the money pacs for inappropriate things. First of all how they know that and 2ns its not true. As I mentioned above it was because I lost my debit card from Wells fargo and need to pay for things using a card.
After that letter I received a 2nd refund and that's when the horror began. I never received my third refund and since then I have called over 200 times, mailed copies of my receipts and email copies as well and 4 months later I still can't get an answer. They send you to talk to someone in the Phillipines and they can't help at all. All they do is transfer you over and over again or hang up or you get disconnected. I have spent hours and days trying to get my refund. I have filed complaints with the BBB and they still refuse to help me. Worst of all is they lie and say they have been calling me but I have had my phone on me all day everyday and not a single call from that company. Do not use them or buy a money pac or you will be screwed. I have lost my home because I couldn't pay my rent on time and countless other things because of this company. They will not help you. Liars and cheats is who they are. Horrible company. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would.

I do not understand how they allow this company to remain in business!!!! Green dot needs to be shut down!!!! They are illegally selling false advertised greendot money pak cards!!! The company has no way to contact them about the crap!! Then requires you to set up an account with their dumb ass company in order to use it because they have no security features for the card, no real way to make sure the card was sold properly. These people have a pre-recorded line that only gives you advice to write these people, like with everything we have going on in the world they aren't taking any realtime precautions for the customers that chooses to use their stupid ass reloading method. I purchased a $500 moneypak card and have not been able to use it h since the day i purchased it and it keeps saying the money pak cards number is invalid. I called the company to get an understanding but they customer service representative for the green dot money cards tells me the moneypak cards have a separate company and they don't HANDLE those matters like really? Regulatory Action Needed
TaxSlayer's website is designed to push customers into receiving their tax refunds through a prepaid Green Dot card. (see Wikipedia: 'dark patterns') I opted out of this-- or believed I did-- wishing to get my refund sent to my bank account. I just learned through much struggle with the IRS that my refund was sent to a Green Dot account and routing number. My stimulus money is also probably there. I filed my taxes in early March! I've sunk hours of headache and worry into this and I still have thousands of dollars which I can't access-- I was never even sent a debit card.
I never approved of any transaction with Green Dot and so I consider this money stolen. I have filed complaints with the Federal Reserve Bank and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I encourage anyone else scammed by these guys to do the same thing. It only takes a few minutes-- and you feel like you're punching back.

I purchased a green dot card, this only being my second time ever. 1st time took several hours for the money to be available... this time, I go to purchase a greendot, the first card I picked off the rack rings up and cashier is like... the card stats its already been used... we looked at it, hadnt been scratched, weird.. anyway I get another one. This one rings up funds are put on it and I head out... I get home about 1.5 hours later and go to scratch ooff the back nuymber as I need to deposit the funds into an account I need funds for monday... now this is several hundred dollars... well the numbers under the scratch pad are unreadable, I go back to store and they say nothing can be done, you have to call moneypak. I call them they tell me to go online for assistance... I go file assistance and am told they will research and get back to me in 1 business. The next day I get a response saying they have looked into it and sending me a refund for the amount minus the $5.95 I was charged.... I should receive the funds in 10 days... wait, what did I just say? TEN DAYS ... so several hundred dollars is now unusable/unattainable for 10 days.... though I have a moneypak account, they cant send the money to my card, only a check in the mail. This will be the last time I will ever use greendot/moneypak and warn anyone if you have another option, use it, avoid moneypak/greendot you are literally using this service at your own risk!
